An Email Advocacy Action asks mobilizers to send an email to an elected official or target on behalf of your campaign. Rally matches each mobilizer to the right target based on their congressional district, generates a pre-written email, and lets the mobilizer send it directly from their phone or computer.

This article covers how to configure an Email Advocacy action from start to finish.

What an Email Advocacy action does

When a mobilizer completes an Email Advocacy action, they see a pre-written email addressed to their matched representative. They can review and edit the email, then send it. Rally records the send and marks the action complete.

Rally automatically matches mobilizers to the right target based on their registered address and the district information in your uploaded targets CSV. If no match is found, Rally uses the Fallback Target you configure.

Step 1: Create the action

  1. Go to Campaign → Actions in the sidebar
  2. Click New Action
